Corporate Housing Minneapolis Watches City's Debates Over Zoning Changes

There is an interesting question circulating in local government that doesn’t directly effect corporate housing Minneapolis, but is related to housing more broadly, and we think merits a mention.  Currently, the city’s zoning prohibits single-family homeowners from adding a unit, or a “granny flat”, but that may change soon.  There are numerous forms this kind of unit could take - a separate, smaller building, a basement or attic apartment, above the garage, and more.  If Minneapolis decides to loosen this rule, they will next need to decide how to regulate it, and what exactly to allow.  Sometimes this are used as rental properties, or might be used to gather extended family.
