A great exhibit to see at the American Swedish Institute is "A Different Way of Seeing". This is an exhibit that spans more than a century of Swedish art from 1877 to 1990. There are paintings, mixed media and additional works to enjoy. Some of the modern artists represented are Lena Cronqvist and Sven "X-et" Erixson.
