Saint Anthony Falls is highlight of this city and a must see when staying in short term housing Minneapolis. Located northeast of the downtown area, this was the only natural major waterfall on the Upper Mississippi River. The natural falls were replaced by a concrete overflow spillway after it partially collapsed in the late 1800's. It is very uncommon to see falls like this in the middle of any city. You can get a great view of the falls from the beautiful Stone Arch Bridge.
