The art start even before you enter the building, when you see the neo-classical façade by famous New York architecture firm McKim, Mead & White. The Minneapolis Sculpture Garden was built on the grounds of a former military drilling field, with the first sign of its future coming in 1913 with the planting of a floral garden.
